Leases & Sales
Leasing
Offered on-site only at this time. Riders in our lesson program that prove they have the independence and experience necessary to lease one of our horses are eligible, availability and suitability dependent. Leasing students take priority for showing. Leasing exponentially fast-tracks progress in the saddle. Our lease options include:
At any given time, a privately owned horse may become available for lease, and those terms may vary,
- Half-Leases ($400/mo) - a rider is assigned a specific horse; through coordination of schedules, this cost includes 4 monthly group lessons (or private lessons for an added cost), plus eight additional rides within the month on their own time. Jumping is not permitted outside of lessons. Half leasers do not need to pay for a day-lease for showing. Horse may be shared with the lesson program and other riders. In the event that the leased horse becomes temporarily or permanently unrideable for any reason, a substitute horse will be provided.
- Riding Lease ($360/mo, preferred) - same as above, except riders are not tied to a specific horse. This is a great option to learn from a variety of horses and what they have to offer and helps us to better balance their workloads.
- Full-Leases (variable cost, dependent on horse) - lease fee includes the cost of farrier plus board. Veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner of the horse, unless it is a lease-to-buy track and/or another agreement is made. Leaser will not share the horse with another rider. Jumping is not permitted outside of lessons.
- Individual "free rides" ($35/per) - want to ride more but leasing is not within your budget? Take advantage of an extra ride here and there. Again, no jumping outside of lessons.
- Show Leases ($60/day) - riders not half or full leasing, or not using the "riding lease," must pay a day lease fee on each day of showing. This is not a split cost if sharing the horse with another rider.

Sales
We run a very small sale program, and would also be thrilled to help you find your next riding partner, even if it isn't with us! Need help finding or selling your horse? We can do that, too! Please contact us. Check back regularly to see what horses may be available!
Purchasing: We are fully transparent about our horses and any history that we may be privy to. While you may buy a horse off of video, pre-purchase exams (PPEs) are always welcomed and encouraged at the cost of the buyer. For buyers opting for a PPE, a non-refundable deposit ($200) is required to hold a horse and a PPE should be scheduled as soon as possible (within 7 days); we may continue to show the horse to prospective buyers, but will not sell the horse to another party during this time. If a potential buyer decides after a PPE that they will not move forward, the deposit remains non-refundable, and if the buyer decides to move forward, the deposit will be put towards the purchase price of the horse. After the conclusion of a PPE, if moving forward on the sale, we ask the potential buyer to make a decision within two business days. After two business days, the buyer will be billed for board until the horse departs.
Vets & Shippers: If you are not from the area, we can provide you with a list of local veterinarians, and/or help assist with finding a shipper.

AVAILABLE HORSES
Alexa's Spirit
Alexa's Spirit (NY), 2012 gelding, 16.1h (Congrats - Far and Away, by Strong Hope). Pedigree here.
"Lex" is a very well bred gelding that jumps a 10 every time. Get the sticky spray and read on...
Lex had 19 starts and earnings of $49,633. He competed in the 2018 makeover for hunters & field hunters and has hunter pace miles. Has been in a successful lease situation since and has done some local shows since the makeover, showing up to 2'6", with scope for more. Due to time constraints, his lease is sadly coming to an end.
Always sound and has been barefoot for many months. Currently lives out with other geldings but fine in a stall. Not a cribber, weaver, or stall walker, and no known injuries.
This is not even close to a beginner's horse. He is quirky and opinionated and I am happy to share all his "secrets," but he is also bursting with talent. There is "an @ss for every saddle" as they say, and with the right rider, this horse will thrive. I personally have a full string of other TBs and young horses, and cannot bring him to that potential at this time.

Barfly
Barfly (MD), 2020 gelding, ~16h (Holy Boss - Motherload Hipster, by Dance with Ravens). Pedigree here.
This horse is really special!!! His breeding speaks to having some great sport horse potential and a "yes" attitude. He raced 37 times with earnings of $80,418.
Barfly is easy to handle! Fantastic brain that would excel with an ammy or junior working with a trainer, or the potential to be a pro ride. Neither forward or pokey -- he is just right! Brave and trustworthy. I really, really, really like this horse and I would love for him to stay in my barn. The wind got howling and banging today during our recent ride and he did not even flinch. His connections confirmed that he was just as lovely to work with on the track.
He has just a handful of off-track pro rides at this point, and has had some let down time with a friend in turnout (he is low man).
I cannot say enough good things about him. Truly a good boy. No known injuries and I don't believe he will have limitations.
